Return-To-Work: A template for a COVID-19 Business Preparedness Plan

Here at RDC Safety Limited we understand that as a result of COVID-19, it is no longer business as usual. As businesses ramp back up and employees return to the workplace, employers need a plan to reopen keeping safety and productivity as top priorities.

The government are issuing guidelines which appear to change daily. What does this mean to you and your business?

During this half day course at RDC Safety Limited, we aim to explain what your responsibilities are to your employees, contractors, visitors and customers.

Your COVID-19 Preparedness Plan should establish and explain the necessary policies, practices and conditions necessary to meet any regulatory requirements following the government’s 5 Steps to Safety.

During this course we will look at what to include in your Business Preparedness Plan and includes:

• Creating a Return-to-Work Preparedness Plan
• COVID-19 workplace legal obligations in the UK
• Your COVID-19 Preparedness risk assessment
• Policies and procedures for employees including safe systems of work and screening for employees exhibiting COVID-19 Symptoms
• Handwashing and sanitation in the workplace
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including the need for respiratory protection
• Social Distancing
• Housekeeping
• Communications and Training
• Safely moving around the business
• Accidents and other emergencies

This course can be delivered either at your site (subject to a COVID-19 self – risk assessment) or at one of our training centres either in Shropshire or Essex.

A certificate of COVID-19 safety training will be issued to all those who complete the course to a satisfactory standard.
