9 Top reasons why you should do a first aid course?

You cannot predict what happens next in life: As life is full of ups and downs, you may never know when emergencies arise, so it is better to be prepared and equipped to handle vital situations with friends, loved ones, neighbours or strangers than to helplessly stand-by. Stop and take a break to think about losing a friend and also think about how you can save him/her. You can be that difference.

You are a parent and have or work with children: A first aid course can give you the idea, knowledge and confidence to deal with emergencies that can affect a child when they suffer from an injury or sudden illness.

To save yourself: You cannot predict when an accident might occur. What if you become a casualty? Would you know what to do best at that moment? Having first aid knowledge can be the difference for you at that time.

First Aid Training BirminghamThe “making it worse” myth: it is better to do away with this myth – thinking that standing by is better than trying to help. Do you know that by doing nothing, the situation is very likely to worsen? However, your basic knowledge of first aid could be the difference.

Safety awareness: First aid knowledge helps you become aware of safety issues, and this can help bring down the number of accidents in your home or workplace. Prevention is better than treatment.

There is danger in almost everything: Almost everything we do now comes with a risk. It is better to be equipped to take care of these situations if the needs arise. First aid gives you the knowledge to identify the symptoms and signs to look out for and possible action to take.

Career Enhancement and Life Skill: First Aid is an essential skill to have for life. It also makes your CV look good. Being a first aider boosts your chances of getting employment, and most businesses have risk assessments that select a specific ratio of nominated First aiders to employees.

Paying it in advance: You never know when first aid may be needed for a family, friend or stranger. There will be hope if first aid is needed or required; there will be someone like you who can step in and help out.

The first aid kit: After going through a first aid course, you will get to know what to look out for in a first aid kit. You will know the essential items in it, how to use and maintain the contents in it.
